| Hey Mushkin Rules, I really think it will take the wire trick along with upping the VIO, set bios to strong also. I have done this with a 700e cbo and didn't burn it-up! This is talking maybe a stable CPU. The cooling is next. If you are using air cooling. Try and keep the temp @idle around 30to 33c and @load around 39-43c. Put some good Thermal paste on heatsink Arctic Silver if you have it. Make sure its well seated. Then ground the sucker! I'm sure you already know most if not all this stuff! Also good case air flow, maybe a fan blowing on mobo. Plus a couple pulling into case at the bottom and 2 maybe 3 counting PS fan out the back. No top of case fans they cause bad air flow! Take out all of the extra crap thats in the PSI slots and all extra hardware. Use only what you need to run the machine! This is just to see if you can get there 1000mhz. Later you can throw that stuff back in your machine. If you make it to 1000mhz, give that CPU a good work-out, while your there.Heres hoping you make it and let me know how it goes! | Thaks & Alright Skull. Will try it & let see what happens. I have everything that you mention & it's really challenging to tame 800EB to 1000. Got to read again the wire trick. I just forgot, can you just give me the link to it?

| Thanks for the support Skull. Have to read everything again from web + manual & wait for the preparation this weekend, though. Meanwhile, my 256MB Rev 2 has default SPD EEPROM in the Bios of 3-3-3. So, I have to change it manually. For comparison, what's yours Skull?

| Skull, what I mean is when you are at BIOS setting, under Advance & PCI, under menu SDRAM Timing, if you put "by SPD" (do not fill in manually / do not set "User Define"), what does it read. Is it 3-3-3 or 2-2-2 ? Offcourse you can set this manually ("User Define"). But what I want to know is the default reading of Mushkin 256MB Rev 2, if you set this menu "by SPD". Mine is 3-3-3 "by SPD", then I have to change it manually to make it 2-2-2. This is what Mushkin do when pre-program the SPD EEPROM for their memory at factory default.

| Well, I just received my Mushkin rev 1.5 today (Saturday). The first shipment they sent to me had nothing in the Fedex bag because someone at the Fedex warehouse saw the Mushkin sticker on the bad and decided to steal it. Mushkin was kind enough to ship it to me Fedex Saturday for free! I am currently running my 256mb rev 1.5 at 222 5,7 strong at 140FSB. Not bad at all for $99 (including shipping)! Ive only had it up and running for a few hours, so I'll have to wait and see if it is fully stable. |
