Need Help With Memtest

My computer has been running fine since i built it in '03, recently I've been getting random lock-ups and reboots. I think I've narrowed it down to a memory problem. I have 2 x 512 Matched Mushkin Black PC3200, everything is running stock, I don't OC. When I run Memtest I get errors (see photos). Can someone please help me decipher the results.

try running one stick at a time.

Test 5 [Block move, 64 moves]

This test stresses memory by using block move (movsl) instructions and is based on Robert Redelmeier's burnBX test. Memory is initialized with shifting patterns that are inverted every 8 bytes. Then 4mb blocks of memory are moved around using the movsl instruction. After the moves are completed the data patterns are checked. Because the data is checked only after the memory moves are completed it is not possible to know where the error occurred. The addresses reported are only for where the bad pattern was found. Since the moves are constrained to a 8mb segment of memory the failing address will always be less than 8mb away from the reported address. Errors from this test are not used to calculate BadRAM patterns.

Test 8 [Modulo 20, ones&zeros]

Using the Modulo-X algorithm should uncover errors that are not detected by moving inversions due to cache and buffering interference with the the algorithm. As with test one only ones and zeros are used for data patterns.

Should I leave them in the slots they are in now and just remove one at a time?

The errors seem to be in both memory regions (by screenshot, in the 200's and the 1000's).

What voltage is the RAM running at? I'd up it if possible.
Then I'd try to relax the timings. The CAS level can stay but the middle two numbers should go up.

I'm running at 2.75V. I've been running the same configuration for three years with no problems. I haven't made any changes recently. The memory is Mushkin Level2 rated at 2-2-2. I understand why you would say loosen it up a bit, what I don't understand is why after three years it would give me a problem unless it is failing.

There's another reason for that happening. Wish I could remember what is is. Have you changed the CMOS battery lately?

Ask Mushkin to test them for you.

Why the 1015 BIOS and not the 1019 BIOS?

Traveler- No I haven't changed the battery since it was new, I'll do it today. As for the bios I was working under the if it ain't broke don't fix it rule, now with memory errors I'm a little scared of flashing it and running into problems that could toast my Bios.

Ok I have similar system to yours. About 2 weeks ago i had sort of the same problem. My system started crashing. I knew it was the memory. Have been messing with pc's long enough to know.
My system have been running for 2 years with the settings in my sig.

It got to the point where my system would only boot in single channel mode. Wouldn't even boot in dual channel mode if I clocked the memory way down and relaxed the timings.
Took the memory to test at a friends pc. It ran just fine in dual channel low timings mode.

Had no idea what was going on. So I defaulted bios and started switching the memory sticks around in different slots and suddenly It worked again. I re-applied my overclocking settings and ran prime95 for 24 hours and no errors.

This is not a fix but a suggestion. If messing with pc's have tough me anything it is that sometimes weird things happen and weird things sometimes fix them...

BTW: The 1019 bios seems to run a little better for me but it shoulden't be the cause of your problems...

Good luck

I knew my Mushkin wouldn't let me down! I was going through the Bios marking down important settings when I noticed that all my power rails were low in the Hardware Monitor. I have a spare Power supply so I figured why not change it and see. All is good. I will run Memtest overnight to be sure.

Now I need a new power supply (Any Suggestions)
