I forget what I read, but a CAS of 9 @ 1333 is not that bad. When compared to lower speeds. Something about it scales.

The frequency from your MMU to your RAM is always more important than the latency in which it guarantees the access. DDR3 scales to very high frequencies, and it prefetches internally more data than the previous versions. Making it very robust, but seeming rather counter intuitive when unaware of its abilities. Lower latencies can be an advantage, but not so much so that I would spend so much money on it, especially due to newer and aggressive cache prefetching of modern processors. It would be better to have a higher installed system memory amount with a higher clock, than a lesser amount with lower latencies and even possibly a lower clock.

I like my Mushkin 2x2GB. I am unsure about OCZ, and I am unsure if I would make a purchase of their RAM anytime soon. It very well could be good RAM, but I have a couple of vendors that I do prefer. Memory can be a hit or miss really. Even if you use JEDEC standard RAM.

Everything is like that as supply and demand waxes and wanes, of course. I just do not like the factor of it being only 1GB for the cost. I personally think systems should have 4GB, at least 2GB.

Man, that is a good price! To think my first computer had only a few kilobytes.
