| If you go to OCZ'S site they give you great information abouthe ram. One of the major things IMO is the warranty. Check this out it give you a good quick description of them. http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/high_performance/

| One has black heat sink the other a shiny heatsink. Other than that, they are the same. Don't expect huge overclocking with these modules anywhere near those latencies based on some reciews I've read. I don't believe these are TCCD chips either. If ya don't overclock, these are a great bargain for BF2..

| the PE's will overclock, the TE's won't overclock so well. And the PowerSwap Warranty, though both have lifetime warranties I believe. I have the 2GB PE kit. Haven't tried overclocking yet, just built the rig this weekend.

| Ok, I actually read the OCZ site. Interesting. The titaniums are high reliabilty units, for mission critical apps. Generally, no one here. Now, the platinums are more complicated. In DDR400 there are many flavors. The regular platinums are 3-3-2-8. The EL (enhanced latency) models come in 2-3-2-5 and EL2 at 2-2-2-5. The base model and EL2s have a feature called EVP described as "EVP stands for (E)xtended (V)oltage (P)rotection. This is a novel OCZ voltage protection feature that allows modules to handle higher voltages. OCZ EVP® protected modules can tolerate VDIMM voltages up to 3.0V ア 5%. All EVP® protected modules are covered under OCZ痴 Lifetime Warranty if overvolted within EVP® tolerances." Oddly, the ELs don't list this feature. The base unit only comes in 1GB DIMMs. The EL comes in 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB DIMMs. The EL2 only comes in 512MB DIMMs. |
