Lightbulb Sounds like the bomb

They have PC160 2-2-2 guaranteed ram and also
PC175 3-3-3 guaranteed. Sounds pretty damn good to me.

I got 2 128mb sticks of their PC150 222 RAM, it was on special for $130.00.

Works flawlessly on my CUSL2 @ 150 FSB 222 5-7 and Strong.

Hmm,

Well....

I ordered on 02/15/01

Had it shipped Via Airborne Express for $12.45

Shipped out on 02/20/01

Arrived 02/21/01 at my business, I signed for the package myself.

I wonder if they are having trouble filling the combo portion of your order. I wonder if had you just ordered the RAM then you would have been fine?

The only thing is that my name is Mike Schmitt, and of course that is how I typed it in on the order page of the website, yet they shipped it to Mike Schmidt, no biggie, still got here fine.

The actual place that it was shipped from was.

The Computer Zone Inc.
Boise, ID 83705

If you want to send a letter or something asking about it, and voicing your gripes.

I don't know what else I can tell ya, maybe call your credit card company and see if anything has been billed to your card. If not, maybe call and tell them that you will tell your card company not to accept anything from them if they do not reply to you (like cancelling the order, from your end).

Or you could try the call like every 15 minutes and just bother the hell out of them till they tell you what is up, I know that would **** me off, and I would want to make this guy (hehe, you) shut up and leave me alone for now, so I would do something about it.

Oooh, or like email their sales dept, or make a call, and tell them you work at a mid size computer system integration company and that you build like a couple hundred systems a month, and you are very interested in putting professional looking rounded cables in all your systems, and are looking for someone to supply you with them. Hopefully that might get their attention, then you could talk to someone.

Otherwise, I got my CUSL2 from work, you could get one anywhere, or get the CUSL2-C and save a few $$$.

Then I grabbed a PIII 700 from a guy on the HardOCP and Anand forums called bonkers325 ( bonkers325@yahoo.com ). Well he sells pretested CPU's, I got one that was guaranteed at 1050 @ 1.9v , well it does that just fine, im very happy. I asked him if it would hit 1000 at 1.7v to at least get that (because of the CUSL2 cold boot problem and voltage), well he said that it would do like 970 at cold boot. Well I started mine at 143 FSB and it hits that at cold boot everytime 1000 MHz, so his chip was even a little better than he thought (another could vary), I paid I think like 196.00 total, ( I wanted it overnight shipped, so I could use it in a lan party ). The seller was great, maybe try him for a CPU. Just email him and ask him what he has left.

I use an Alpha PAL6035, well im pretty sure that is what it is. Good heatsink, didn't let me fry another actually PIII 1000 MHz CPU that I threw in my system, when I forgot to plug in the fan. Hell the system lasted for about a half an hour, through 3DMark2000 benchmark before shutting itself down from heat. Hehe, lets just say that it likes it better with the fan plugged in, and I will be more careful in the future, well maybe if I got more sleep.

Man this is a long post. Well take from it what you want, I'm here to help with what I can.

I love my CUSL2, it is very stable, don't like the cold boot problem, or the memory tweaking and AGP 4x tweaking needed after 140 FSB, but have worked that out, and am running great.

Good luck.
Mike

Schmittmj,
I bought a cC0 700 from Bonkers back in November. I might have gotten lucky but mine will cold boot at 150 FSB. It will actually run stable as high as 157 FSB at 1.95V He is a pretty good guy.

Yeah he is a good guy. Highly recommended.

Hmm, I wish mine was capable of what yours is, but oh well. The big thing that I was looking for was 1GHz, and I got it, so I am happy. The CPU that I got from him was one that he guaranteed at 1050@1.9v. He did also have one that he guaranteed at like 1070@1.9v, but I didn't want to spend the extra $20.00 or something, since as I said, 1000 was what I was going for, so I figured that 1050 would give me a little headroom for my components. What was your chip rated for?

Mine was rated for 1050 MHZ as well and I believe the maximum voltage he indicated was 1.85 or 1.9V

Yap!, they billed my CC on the 14th, i ordered on the 7th and it is now the 28th.
I'll wait till friday and if i don't hear from them i'll cancell the order and dispute
the charges thru my CC. if its not too late. What's frustrating is they never return
any of my email and phone calls.
