OCZ RAM failing?

I purchased some OCZ EL 3200 dual channel memory for my P4P800 and its been working fine for the last 2 months @ 2-3-3-6 @ 190Mhz
(240FSB at 3/2)

One day I upgraded my bios from 1008 to 1012. Ran memtest86, and now for most passes (not all) test #4 fails at one point.
I went back to bios 1008, test #4 still fails, tried 1006,1008,1010 and now back to 1012, upped the timings, played with the bus speed and it still fails at test#4.

If I run prime95 for 2 or 3 hours, no failures - but the computer does lockup randomly every couple of days. Has my OCZ ram gone bad???

And if it is bad, and I use the OCZ lifetime warrenty, does that mean my computer is ramless paperweight until they ship it back??

i had the same thing happen with some ocz 3500. Only difference was it started failing on test 3 after 2 months. yeah, your memory has gone bad.

i ended up buying some corsair as a replacement. My OCZ should be coming back from RMA today.

Its going into the wifes system. OCZ makes some damn fast memory, but i wonder if they push it just a little too hard. Mine was running underclocked at the correct voltage on a p4p800 (also now the wifes) before it died.

If you wish to RMA please email me for details. Also you can with credit card security have ram shipped to you first if you wish.

Thanks for the info bigtoe! The RMA process really makes paying extra for brand name worthwhile.
