Question OCZ : what kit for 220-230MHz operation ?

Hello,

I will order my new 1Gb OCZ kit today or tomorrow and I'll like to know what kit would be the most suitable (I want the lowest possible timings) with the following configuration :

Asus P4C800-E Bios 1010
P4C 3.0 that will run 1:1 with the memory around 220-230MHz.

It seems that both the PC3500 platinum dual and PC3700 quad kits could offer the same timings but the quad 3700 kit can't be find anywhere (out of stocks, out of stocks, out of stocks ....)

Any idea ?? another brand ???

Thanks in advance

The PC3500 Platinum is really what you need...There is a new line coming soon that does out perform it though...it all depends if you can wait a while.

I also can not be more specific at this time due to forum rules and an OCZ NDA....I can say it may be worth the wait though..

If you can't wait, try Mushkin PC3500 Cas 222, it will do 220/440 and better @ 2-2-2-5.

yes and that's sad because I'm sure it is very good memory (BH5 based ones). In Europe the Mushkin PC3200 lvl2 1Gb kit is at more than 400€ (i.e. 460$ ...)

Winbond are NO LONGER producing BH5 and BH6 based IC's...this is why prices are high on modules based on these chips as they are getting hard to find.

However..

CH5 and CH6 is getting better...in time it will be as good as the BH variety although i do believe RAS to CAS will always need 3 to run with stability.

U could also try Corsair PC3500. I'm running it @ 227mhz 2-2-3-5 Turbo on a P4C800 with great stability.
However there are 2 revisions of pc3500. The rev1.1 is using Winbond BH5 chips (the one i've got), the other, rev1.2 is using CH5 chips.
