Lightbulb AGP 4x ?

Does anyone know the data and register value for WCPRset to enable AGP4x. I've looked at BO 80 but not sure what value's need to be editted. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks gang.

Why not flash the tweaked bios 1008.? It takes care of all that, over 140 and AGP 4x and a few other things. I'm running it, works great!

Thumbs down

Hi Skull, thanks for the tip...tried the tweaked bios and found it incompatible with Windows XP. My system just kept rebooting. I flashed back to 1006a final and it's once again stable albeit now AGP2x which in all reality isn't going to make all that much difference anyway (at least from what I've read) compared to 4x. Funny enough though, my SiSandra memory scores and 3Dmark scores are just slightly higher with this bios. Anyway, thank you for offering the advice. Take care.

Philster.

Hi Skull, when you say BO 80 do you mean those are the settings you need added to WCPRset? I guess where I am confused is that the other settings for memory involved actually changing the register values and adding them. Can you clarify this? Thanks again.

Philster.

Did you look at the first post of this thread, Ozzie's post. It will help explain! Yes, those settings go into WCPRset for a final set into the registry.

My Scores Drop

After changing the settings as per Ozzi, my scores went from a poor 373/414 to an even worse 333/369...anyone using any different settings?

Mushkin Rules
I use the tweaked BIOS with Win 2K without any problems. I must say the I have the BP version and the inly tweaked version is 1006A. I still have not been able to successfully crash Win2K by doing the normal stupid things that would affect Win9X.

Cryogen,
Damn right! All of my personal stuff is Win2K! However I make my living doing Powerpoint presentations on a Laptop with Win98SE that makes me nervous every time I boot it. Oh well, at least the company has not made a decision to go to ME.
Have a great time at the PARTY!!!!

Duh, I must be dumb!

What's the advantage to doing this, rather than using the Bios Tweak file I've seen discussed elsewhere? What's the advantage?

Regards,
-.-
