Smile P35 mobo Q6600 CPU, what RAM?

I am building a new system at the start of August. I have decided to use a quad core C2D the Q6600 and OC it to around 3GHz and to use a P35 mobo but I don't know what RAM to use. Everything I have been hearing and reading tells me to go with RAM that will do 3-3-3 timings (DDR2-800) or 4-4-4- timings (DRR2-1067) the latter being preferable. I want to use 2x2GB to get 4GB and as the system performance doesn't seem to improve much with performance RAM then I would like to save money in this area if I can. My question is does any one out there have experience with any of these at the timings and speeds I have mentioned. Thanks.

Very few, if any of the 2gb kits are going to hit the latencies you stated at those frequencies. Currently, the ICs that are readily available are CAS5 at DDR800 and up. However, this is not a problem really with current Intel CPUs and boards.
