Exclamation P4PE Memory problem...

Hello everyone,
I've been reading the info on the boards for a while now; this is my first post. Lot's of useful info

Anyway, I've stumbled across a problem as stated in the title. My system specs are as follows:

P4 3.06 running at 3105mhz
p4pe bios 1007
fsb 135
512mb Spectek pc2700 2.5-3-3-7 (factory timings)
system performance set to "optimal" (hence the little overclock)
everything else is on auto

Here is the problem. I tried overclocking the memory. The bios let's me put in 333 at 1.5-2-2-6, and it boots up. Windows works, all is well. Then I check CPUZ, and it tells me that my timings are 2.5-3-3-7. As does Sandra.
Ok. I try 2.5-2-2-6. Same results in CPUZ. I try raising the voltage for the memory a bit. No change. Setting system performance to auto. Again no change. I reboot, try 355mhz (not raising the fsb), enter 2.5-2-2-6, and the timing works! Both CPUZ and Sandra show the correct timing.
However, I run the prime95 torture test, it fails the first test. "0.5, should be lower than 0.4."

What's even more confusing is that each time that I went back into the bios, the settings remained at what I had entered the first time. It did not revert back to 2.5-3-3-7.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? Is there a fix for this?

Thanks for your help in advance,

-Paul
