| All memory in the entire system is reserved in this fashion also. So, you can consider your video card memory, CPU cache, etc. along with this.

| so it comes down to this have 4gb ram but only see/use around 3gb in the end it comes down to: is 3gb better then 2 ?? i suppose so..... |

| You can use xp x64 and make use of all 4gb. It has much better support now than it used to. I have all the latest drivers installed and working for all my components. All of my programs and games work great too. I got 10,988 in 3dmark06 under x64. Vista 64 bit is supposed to be the way to go also when that comes out for everyone.
