| Problems with 1GB Ballistix stick I am having trouble figuring out one stick of my Ballistix. It is not Windows stable at 200MHz 3-3-3-8 @ any voltage. Memtest leaves me scratching my head. If the computer boots, it can run memtest for 1 pass error free and then boom it just errors at every single address. It has errored at every address on different test. The last pass Memtest halted with 260,000+ errors, but Memtest has froze without errors. To rule the rest of the components I test the matching stick and it ran error free for 16 passes, and the CPUs are prime stable tested at 16hours.

| That is what I was thinking. It is just that I have never had a bad stick do what this stick is doing.

| Have you tried 3-4-4-8 or any other timings? |

| Yep, I have tried 3-3-3-8 and 3-4-4-8. It almost seems like they are not getting enough voltage, because from a really cold boot they work flawlesely for 15 minutes or so, and as they heat up it does the weird stuff. But there is little I can do about cooling because I pretty much actively cool the VRM and ram area.

| Do you have another board you can test that stick in? |

| The stick in question has been in both of my computers, but the testing was done on the PC-DL. The errors might be caused by voltage as the board gives 2.45-2.5V. Although the stick was not Windows stable in the IC7-G at any voltage, never Memtested the stick on it. Just a little curious as to how you got yours to 304MHz though.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=67762 I bought my sticks directly from Crucial, so I paid more. But this is the best RAM I've ever owned and that's saying a lot. | |

| Yep, I saw the 3V. I frequent the XS forums, but stupid registration doesn't allow my e-mail accounts . I love my Micron ram that I have whether their value or Ballistix. I have a Sandra screeny of the 1GB sticks doin 2-2-2-5 @ 2.5V. I purchased FB's booster, I then modded it to 24 pin, but that caught fire so I am back to 2.5V Edit so far the stick in question has 2 passes completed error free on the IC7-G

| I am thoroughly confused now. The bad stick is Memtest stable, 32 passes, but it failed Memtest in the IC7-G 3 days ago. So now I am running dual channel in the IC7-G Memtest. So that kinda rules out the possibility of running 2GB in my server as my sig says Okay while typing this it errored Massively in dual channel, now gonna try what i thought was the good stick. I am starting to the think the mobo may be bad, because the second stick just ran overnight, 35 passes error free ![]()

| Okay it is offical these are the most tempermental sticks of ram I have ever seen. I managed to get them to boot at 3-3-3-8 so that I could change them to 3-4-4-8 on the PC-DL (2.45V) and they are running Memtest dual channel error free. But they won't do it on the IC7-G at 2.7V. Oh and Memtesting 2GB sucks as it take forever.
