Question Ram Bank Question

Hello,
I just bought 2 - 256mb PC133 SDRAM. It is double sided with 8 chips on each side. BIOS and windows only pick it up as 128 mb chips. Is this caused becasue BIOS setting "1 Bank" is selected rather than "All Banks"? I'm am not home to test it out, so I was just wondering if the Bank refers to the number of sides.

Thanks

That setting is for memory "page closing policy" I believe and it should not affect how the board detects your RAM. Make sure both DIMMS are seated securely or try the sticks in different DIMM slots.

Its CUSL2 Motherboard. Thanks for your reply's, I just sent my memory back to the manufacturer to get exchanged, they said they must have sent 128's by accident because they use this motherboard to test their ram.
