The Return & a Newer version out = Memtest86+ v2.00

Hello,

Good news ! After two years, I'm back online on a new french website called Canardplus.com, le quotidien du jeu vidéo et du hardware (that just integrated my old website x86-secret.com). Consequently, I will have access again to the latest hardware and I will be able to spend more time on Memtest86+. For now, here is Memtest86+ v2.00. A brand new revision that supports many, many new hardware and correct numerous low-level bugs with the latest processors.

I tried running the new version last night on the rig in my sig while watching lost. During a commercial I checked on its progress and found video corruption. I ended the test and went back and watched lost. Today I started running it again and noticed that when I tried to bring up the options nothing happened. After about 10 seconds the options menu came up, strange? Using version 1.7 on the same PC or any PC I have ever tried memtest on did not exhibit this problem. I played around looking at the new options and got screen corruption again.

I then tried 2.0 on my K7 rig that uses the Nforce2 chipset and integrated GPU. The options menu comes up right away and I get no screen corruption.

I would guess version 2.0 has a computability problem with my 8800 GT card or the P35 chipset on my mobo. Does anyone have a G92 based GPU and or P35 chipset they can run version 2.0 on to see what happens?

Well for now it's back to 1.70 for me.

Two weeks after v2.00, Memtest86+ 2.01 is here ! This is mainly a bug fixes release, but support for some new Hardware was added. Amongst many new patches, a major bug related to memory errors reporting has been fixed. Here is the complete changelog

I found the run time on v2.00 to be very long. Will give this a try.

I tried 2.0 and had screen corruption. I never ever seen this with any other 1.xx release. I posted about the problem in the memtest86+ forums and never got a single reply. I guess I'll try 2.01 though there is no fix that for sure relates to the problem I have.
