| SINXP 1394 & Adata DDR450 I am building a rig with the above mobo and ram, not started yet. Does it work with this ram:eek: 2X256 running dual channel. Had a look on gigabytes site and no mention of Adata ram with this board If anyone has/is useing this mobo and ram, what timings are you useing and what problems can I expect. If the adata is a no go, I've got 2 sticks of sammy PC2700, will this be ok? Any advice welcome. TA |

| The problem with the ADATA PC450 is it's only available in Asia. I do have two 256 MB sticks and the SINXP board but I have not tested the combo yet. I've tested the ram on other motherboards and from what I've seen, it only runs at 2.5-3-3-5/6, but it does so up to DDR480-500 at only around 2.7 volts. It won't do CAS 2.0 no matter what. I tested on various 865SD/875CW boards. I think the reason a lot of guys on Holicho's site is using it is because they are running 300+ fsb and at 5:4, they at least can run the system stable at CAS 2.5 with sub 2.9 VDIMM, which is what you are stuck with on most boards. I also tried them at 1:1 and 3-4-4-8 settings and they will not do anything near 250 fsb. The PC450 are 4.5 ns Hynix chips. I also have ADATA PC4000 and I tell ya, the ADATA are pretty consistent sticks. Will do as advertised and then some. Mine do 282, 1:1 at 2.9 volts, 3-4-4-5 (3D stable) and I did not cherry pick any of these ADATA sticks.
