Stuffpcr and winMe-take the max ram can give

My system is capable of high fsb.
cpu max stable bus speed=169mhz 600E cA2 1.95v 9C
ram max stable bus speed=166mhz 2*mushkin rev3
So it seems that has fully reached paradise.
But ram scores don`t follow.I get almost the same score at 140mhz 222 5,7 and 157mhz 222 7,9 (419/454-425/504).Not a big difference.
The difference isn`t at 7,9 setting but as I have heard at +140fsb CUSL2`s safer handling of ram settings(whatever you set in bios).
Stuffpcr promises a capability of taking the max of ram can give.It must be loaded everytime with dos drivers.
You have to edit autoexec.bat and add at the bottom the line C:\stuffpcr\stuffpcr C:\stuffpcr\xxx.bin
Ok I saw "memory scores" at CUSL2`s memory`s section forum and downloaded 1)Real DOS-Mode Patch for Windows ME v1.3(that`s for giving winMe the opportunity to load stuffpcr) 2)stuffpcr 3)hex workshop v3.1.(edit the .bin file)
Followed instructions and managed to load stuffpcr before windows,successfully.But I gain nothing in performance.Maybe it`s the parameters I set to "set.bin".
Can anyone help me ?Even if he has win98.
My autoexec.bat is as follows
.........(whatever lines there were)
C:\stuffpcr\stuffpcr C:\stuffpcr\set.bin(added to work stuffpcr)
C:\windows\win.com(added to load win)
I load win succesfully that`s not my problem but how about the .bin file(I have a 2X agp card and I don`t want a forced 4X)
Another question is if I have to install WPCREDIT or not for stuffpcr to work(I haven`t install it)

I use WPCRedit and WPCRset, my FSB is @155, 222 7-9
Mushkin memory. Before memory score was 431/500 with tweaks 463/550. WPCRedit setting is 50/44 and 73/a8 then use WPCRset to set it permanently in the register.

Patentman - I did load WPCREDIT BEFORE installing Stuffpcr. Also, I did load all three bin files that I sent to you into Stuffpcr folder after that was installed. One file was for 4x, but the other files were for memory improvements. Since you don't want the 4x correction, you may be better off with WPCREDIT and WPCSET. I just don't know if Stuffpcr settings replaced the WPCREDIT settings. I'm not sure which is better!

I guess what you're asking is how to get rid of Stuffpcr and have everything to the way it was before installing it. Well I haven't done it, but this is the way I would do it. (WARNING: If you follow this method, I take no responsibility for any problems that may occur.) But it should work, you're just reversing the install method.
Make sure you back up your present autoexec.bat file and have a dos boot disk available so you can recover if you make a mistake.
Run sysedit and remove the line c:\stuffpcr\stuffpcr c:\stuffpcr\815.bin from autoexec.bat:
That should be all that's necessary, but you can then delete the file c:\Stuffpcr.

It was the .bin file for my problem.
Now at 154 222 7,9 I get 454-541
I saw a little increase when setting virtual memory to 640-640Mb(2.5xphysical memory)

3Dman if you`re on winMe then delete the .bin file,double click on autoexec.bat and close it,run EDIT AUTOEXEC.BAT and delete the stuffpcr line,delete stuffpcr folder and tht`s it


Is my connection so slow I`d rather send an email through pigeons?

Thanks for answers. But - of course I had deleted all that crap already. But GeForce did not want to render anything anymore. Now I got things working again. I am not sure how. I flashed bios several times with different bios files. I reinstalled various versions of detonator drivers. Now I have detonator 647 again, and all is working, thank God (or whoever else responsible .
I dont know what happened, maybe it was that weird situation, mentioned in forum already, when something sets nvidia speed settings in registry way beyond realistic numbers (sorry my english).
Now I will be more careful with experiments... :-)

another option is with cpufsb but you'll have to bump up the fsb in windows to keep the memory + agp*4 working full little bit of a pain ??

I had to change to win98s in order to use the stuffpcr fix. i want to go back to winme but I don't really know how to access the dos mode. i tried following the instructions but they were not clear enough for me. Could someone offer some tips?

In other words, could someone tell me stp by step how to do it in detail?

jian here`s step by step procedure:

1.you must have downloaded: "stuffpcr",the ".bin" file, "Real DOS-Mode Patch for Windows ME v1.3 ",(and "Hex workshop3" if you want to change any value to .bin files)
2.make a new folder named "stuffpcr" at c:\ and extract (or copy) into it the "stuffpcr.com" and the 815.bin file
3.Create a temp directory and copy into it :
"C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM",
"C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\EBD\IO.SYS"
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\REGENV32.EXE".
4.extract into the temp directory the "WINMEDOS.COM" from mfddme13.zip(that`s the "Real DOS-Mode Patch for Windows ME v1.3 ".
5.execute the WINMEDOS.COM
6. Copy the patched files to their destination,overwriting the original ones:
* "IO.SYS" to "C:\".
* "COMMAND.COM" to both "C:\WINDOWS\"and "C:\".
* "REGENV32.EXE" to "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM".
7.Edit (FOR WinME you MUST not run SYSEDIT but at start menu/run you must type "EDIT AUTOEXEC.BAT(you must have execute AUTOEXEC.BAT from C:\ directory before).Same for config(EDIT CONFIG.SYS) NOTE that at AUTOEXEC.BAT you must see some existed lines and add your`s under them.Also make sure to overwrite both AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS at C:\ directory if they are created at desktop.
8.Edit "C:\CONFIG.SYS" and "C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT" changing them as described below:
* "Add to "CONFIG.SYS" the line : "DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS".
* "Add to the bottom of "AUTOEXEC.BAT" the lines : "C:\stuffpcr\stuffpcr C:\stuffpcr\815.bin"(or whatever name for your .bin file)and under that add "C:\WINDOWS\WIN.COM".
