Re: Suggest Good Memory

UpDate: I installed my new mem (CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB 2 x 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 Dual Channel Kit) in my sys last night. I have it running at 1066 2.1v cpu o/c to 3.4 Ran Memtest for 10 hours with 0 errors. Looks like I got a decent set of memory.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Re: Suggest Good Memory

I have an Asus P5E motherboard...and I'm with ctal...the OCZ PC8500 is GREAT memory. The P5E is really picky about what it will and will not run with. Hates Kingston, OK with Crucial Ballistix as long as you undervolt. Tons of issues on the Asus boards with Corsair. Does like G-Skill and Loves this OCZ memory. Used to walk on eggshells with my original Crucial Ballistix tracers...then when I upgraded to Vista 64 bit...but the Crucials in my Asus P5B rig and got the OCZ 2 x 2 GB kit listed in ctal's post. The board posted with the correct settings without my having to mess with it. The only setting I changed was the voltage...the OCZ love 2.1 v. After that...my P5E has been more stable then before...and I no longer do the eggshell walk. I personally give OCZ two thumbs up

Re: Suggest Good Memory

I'm using the same memory on my P5Q board as CarlPo and i am very satisfied with it.

It ran great at 1066MHz (everything else on Auto) and now that i started overclocking my rig runs great at 800Hz (again, everyting else on auto).

Greetings

Dru
