| I run 155 FSB with 1x stick of Mushkin 256 rev2, VIO at default. Higher VIO is ok for the short term. But will shorten the life of your system in the long term! Anytime you use more juice its going to shorten the life of that OBJECT! |

| running 1 stick of 256megs is no problem when at 147mhz (final stable speed the cpu can do) but 2 sticks is a no no I bet even mushkin has this issue (2x256megs at higher than 133mhz config) |

| Hey Mushkin Rules, I'm not sure what you mean! I think Mushkin memory is best for any mobo and for the cusl2 its the only memory! I run ONLY Mushkin memory in my cusl2 mobo. With my kt7a mobo,I run Micron and Mosel and they work great in this mobo. The kt7a is a different animal more forgiving when it comes to memory. I'm still a Mushkin memory man. But I am also one who tries different things. That is one way of leanning for me, seeing how other things work including memory. But for me Mushkin is number one! | Same for me here Skull. Have tried many memories as a way to learn the uniqueness of each. Anyway, I found an interesting features, well maybe you already know. Flashing my bios to the latest 1006.007. When I change the bios to Load Setup Default & get the system back to standard - non overclocked just before flashing, then after flashing, I see that in the SDRAM Timing by SPD, all value is 2-2-2 7/9 automatically with my 1 stick 256MB Rev2. After trial & error, the value of 2-2-2 automatically set by SPD is only persist up to 140-140 setting. Above that, it will set to 3-3-3 by SPD & you have to manually set to 2-2-2. 'Bout your ABIT KT7A, what kind of AMD r u running & how's the performance? Thinking of trying it out & wondering its performance compared to this prosessor below: ![]() [Edited by Mushkin Rules on 03-31-2001 at 08:12 AM]

| Hey ''Mushkin Rules'', I haven't tried the new bios yet, but most likely soon will. Thats interesting about the 222 timing, in the new bios. It's a Tbird 1.2 gh, oc'ed to 1400 mhz. Not quite as fast as the CPU hampster, lol.. Preformance is great. Sandra score in memory 543/602. I run ME on the Abit kt7a mobo, I,ve never seen a SO reboot so fast. The kt7a mobo is a oc'ers dream as you can oc the FSB and also use the multiplier. I have set the multi. to 10.5 and 133/133/33 for a 1400mhz. No stress on the SYSTEM. The multiplier is 9 for the Tbird. Set-up went great! This CPU and the kt7a Abit mobo go together like hand and glove! Stable, fast, and smooth! |

| Skull, I alway want to try that ABIT KT7A. Reviews are great everywhere. I think it's the king of AMD mobo eh? Just like buying Mushkin mem, I will make research on reviews first for another 2 - 3 months, also to wait for DDR technology to get mature.

| I hate to say this, but I've been through a number of mobos and so far it's my favorite! Now that may change in time, but I hope not! |
