| Vista + Ready Boost I would like to know if my system would take advantage in Vista's Ready Boost. If so, I am planning to get OCZ Vboost or dual channel both in 2gb. What should I go with and is 2gb enough or should I go for 4gb? ![]()

| Re: Vista + Ready Boost AFAIK the more free ram you have the more stuff gets cached. Since vista is pretty ram hungry i think that 4Gbs will probably be better if you also want to play games, and still take advantage of ReadyBoost.

| Re: Vista + Ready Boost From what I have heard and from my own experience. ReadyBoost isn't worth a **** hole in the snow. System memory is the way to go.

| Re: Vista + Ready Boost I have a quad core Q6600 and 4 gigs of real RAM----and a 4 gig readybost USB stick wired inside my case-----its always on..... I did a bunch of testing..... and ReadyBoost did make my machine faster.... Not a whole bunch..... but it did work-------and my benches were always a shade better using the technology. I think you'd see quite a big difference in ReadyBoosts favor if you had say a 2 gig USB stick with only 512 of real ram.....
