| Crucial CAS2 256MB is cheap and high quality. http://www.crucial.com/store/PartSpe...e=CT32M64S4D7E For overclocking, Mushkin Rev3 128MB is better but expensive. http://www.mushkin.com/cgi-bin/Mushk...roducts/990595 |

| Crucial/Micron or Kingmax as well. Mushkin is best but comes at a price!

| Mushkin all the way!!! I've tried Micron and Kingmax and the Mushkin kills them for performance and stability. You get what you pay for. |

| From my "inexperience" you will see the following recurring names appear so they must be the players that give results. Mushkin.. Best quality, best overclocker, but at a preimun price (last guess was $165 for 256MB, $320 for two). What makes this memory so attractive is its stability (from what I've read and believe it very true) to run at FSB well in exceed of 160Mhz or better. Inferon.. Same memory as Mushkin (Mushkin is the Brand name that uses Inferon Chips on their PCB's) but not hand selected for the Mushkin Label. Best bet to go with if you can't afford Mushkin but will clock slightly slower. Mosel Vitelic has appeared many times on this Web site and appears to perform well. How it ranks to the above I'm not sure but have read good posts on it. Last is Crucial ((but don't read me wrong on this, it not poor memory, just lower on the overclock'abilty compared to the other listed above. Crucial is the MFG that makes Micron memory. If you want to buy Micron memory, BUY Crucial since it will be the best of the Micron Chips. It appears that people on this forum can OC it to about 147-152 stable. I would avoid plain micron if you wish to OC past 133, however, plain micron 133 should perform at its rated speed.. 133. I have just bought 2*256 Crucial sticks because my OC goals were in the 145-150 range. So it meets my performance/cost ratio. You need to take into account what you goals are: 1) Hobbiest, crank it up as far as you can go!!! 2) Cost verses performance (and life of the overall system) It does not make sense to spend big bucks on memory so you can gain the advantages of OC a lower cost CPU compared to buying a high end CPU at lower FSB speeds, unless you want to get the MAX out of your CPU. Personally, my Cost/Performace ratio lead me to the middle of the road. Wanted to OC, but spent the bucks more on the CPU than trying to OC at things above 150Mhz FSB. There is no right or wrong, just how much you are willing to spend per 1MHz unit of performance gain. |

| Sorry, I left out one other MFG out there called Corsair from my closing post. Sorry to leave this one out. I seen people posting it at the 155 range. Well, here is your chance to say how it is. Any Corsair users out there who can respond would be greatly appreciated! Keep On Posting! |

| Agree with you 1ksw. Mushkin All The Way. Have tried Samsung, Micron, Hyundai, Toshiba, Apacer, Kingston, but Mushkin is the best for stability & higher overclocking. Infineon & Micron are good, though, and cheaper. OCZ memories? Too good to be true. 256MB Mushkin Rev 2
