| Asus Mobo's are made in Taiwan? WTF? I just looked on the mobo box and saw the made in Taiwan message. What? I thought that they were made in the USA. If I would have know that I would have not bought my Asus Cusl2-C nor my P4T-E motherboards. Sorry guys but were suppose to buy american made products if you know what I mean. Look at the american export vs the imports. We should be helping the hard working americans and us government. I would feel different if our exports matched our imports but they dont even come close. What do you guys think? Oh by the way, this is the best forum that I have ever been a part of. Good work guys and gals!! |

| Most ASUS boards are made in China these days and most motherboards are made somewhere in ASIA. It's always been that way.

| I think you will find that literally every producer outsources to either Taiwan or China (and maybe Mexico?). And this is not just motherboards, but video cards as well. Not to mention that Asus is a Taiwanese company. Why would they build their boards in the USA? |

| I guess everyone is right about motherboards being made outside of the united states. Just sad to see that american companys can't compete with asia's companys when it comes to motherboards. |

| well..since Asus is a Taiwanese company, I wouldn't be surprised that they are made in Taiwan.... although most of the products have been outsourced to other countries nowadays

| It runs in my mind that some of the early cusl2's were made in both China and Taiwan. I had one of the ones that you could't install win 98 se on. I don't remember which one it was or why though even though I am still using the replacement for the rma'd first one.

| ASUS I Think everything in my computer is made in tawain or korea ect. and that includes the chipset and processor from intel, that is made in malasia or the philapeans. Its not a bad thing, unless you like stripped down proprietary tech. |

| If computer components were made in the US, it would cost $500 for a motherboard another $700 for a CPU. It's little things like the US minimum wage and taxes that drive companies away to build stuff in foreign lands, just to be competitive in the world market.

| Ya Man, look at intel and AMD, both American Companys, but the Mfg. facilities are over seas. I seem to remember, Asus has two Mfg sites, one in Tiawan and one in Mainland China, the Tiawan MoBo is what to look for and stay away from the China boards.

| I wouldn't worry too much about that this. American company profit alot by outsourcing their production to other country. For example, Intel will probably make the same amount of profit even if they make their chip in the US. They will just pass the cost to the consumer. So... outsourcing is good for consumer since it give manufacturer more headroom to compete and lower their prices. If you want to support your fellow American and US Government.. just keep spending your money. The US goverment will collect taxes and employed American will have job.

| Let us not forget, in America there are labor unions too! They drive up the hourly rate to the point that production of goods in America is higher than most other countries. More than 25% of that hourly rate goes to the Union dues! |

| hey Slayer.... sorry to inform you but if you want to support American made PC parts, you might as well forget it, just stick to a pen and paper, don't even think about a typewriter or calculator or anything electronic.........hell even the pens and pencil are made overseas. this is one arena that the Asian markets are way too strong in. frankly speaking I'm dumbfounded that you JUST realize that ASUS boards were made in Taiwan. hell, even Intel boards are made in Taiwan or China. anyhow FYI, we've also been to the moon and back, just in case you missed that too.
