| Re: Computer Turns off This design feature started appearing around the time I had my 875P board... same deal on my X48 board today... I believe its a feature of the BIOS rather than any specific hardware and the purpose is as wonderwrench described. I think if you're in doubt then find another user with that board and verify what their experience with it is.

| Re: Computer Turns off Hi, Thank you for your replies, I have phoned GBT UK today and explained this problem, they want me to send the board back, for the to test and repair if nessecery, they say that this is not normal for this board to be doing this, not that I dont belive it could be normal I just want to get it checked over because of its warranty ending very soon, and I don't want to be left with a possbily failing board, it will also be intresting to see what GBT make of this problem to. I have asked for an advanced replacement but they are not able to do this, they are gonna repair the board, if they cant repair it then there are gonna replace it hopefully. Regards, Wizkid |

| Re: Computer Turns off ok got the board back and they said that its normal. However they found an issue with the North Bridge and replaced it and everything seems fine. One thing though when I checked to make sure that the CPU fan had seated correctly and the push pins were through enough I heard a click noise each time I turned the board over to check that the fan was in properly. This click sound happened every time. However the system seems to be working fine with no problems at all. So I suppose it cant be a major issue? has any one ever come across this before? Any advice would be grate, thanks, Wizkid |
