Samsung T260 Or T260HD ?

Hey Guys :

Here's my issue, I ordered the Samsung T260 26 Inch LCD monitor only to get the T260HD which is an LCDTV not an LCD monitor. I have done some research and got confused on the HDCP compliancy issue, some say that the T260 is HDCP compliant others say it ain't, same goes for the T260HD.

For I am looking forward to purchasing a BluRay DVD burner for my PC. and HDCP is a huge MUST HAVE ! But I am still confused, coz on their site thy say the T260 is HDCP compliant same goes for the T260HD, which to believe ?

Plus the T260 has a resolution of 1920x1200 (WUXGA), the T260HD just 1920x1200 no (WUXGA), so which is better ? The main purpose of the screen would be for gaming and 2D/3D work ...

Now that I have the T260HD here with me, should I keep it or should I return it for the regular T260 ?

Re: Samsung T260 Or T260HD ?

Well, they are both WUXGA (1920x1200). In the product brochures I found on the website, only the T260 specs specifically mentions HDCP. But, that does not necessarily mean that the T260HD is not HDCP compliant. I would just contact Samsung to confirm.

Quoting from another forum :

The T260 NOT HDCP compliant over HDMI. You need to go through DVI-D to get HD quality. If you run DVDs or Blue Ray DVDs through HDMI the quality will be very poor. I used an HDMI cable from my Blue Ray player and used a HDMI to DVI-D adapter. The only thing is you won't get audio so you'll need to use an alternate audio output/input.
Is that true ... Can anyone confirm ?
