| Silent UPS? Hi, I just returned my APC 1500VA because it started making some weird high pitch chirping noises every 20 seconds. I then bought a 900VA since I'm only using 220 watts. Anyways, the 900VA is too noisy. Can anyone recommend a UPS that cannot be heard across 5 feet? Another question. Does the watt output apply to the surge-only protection outlets? I went back to using my APC CS 350 until I can get a good UPS under $170. |

| Re: Silent UPS? Check out the OPTI line of UPS's they are quite and very reliable. I have the GS1100B and it works like a charm. OPTI-UPS Protect and Serve

| Re: Silent UPS? Thanks, I'll read some reviews on the brand and model. But, I'm hesitant to order a UPS online because I've read that it's quite expensive to ship them back. Fry's has only 2 brands currently: Cyberpower and APC. I also have some more question relating to UPS's, so I'll make another thread about that. |
