Question Is there a way to find out whether the ...

Is there a way to find out whether the inf's are installed.

I foolowed the fail-safe method:

Unzip to folder called Intel - boot to safe mode with prompt - type cd intel - cd disk1 - setup. Let it complete - then reboot.

The strange thing is here: It'll do it's thing again and reboot again - you're done...

It didn't do it's thing again - it just rebooted once (after the installation which was fairly quick) and then it booted to normal mode - and that's it.

So, how can I be sure it's all installed?

Thx

Sure, this is from the install manual... I was to lazy to write it down myself...:

Quote:
"After installing the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility, Device Manager should indicate that your system is now using the Intel Chipset Devices. For Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, and Windows Me, Device Manager can be accessed by going to: Start Button /Settings / Control Panel / System / Device Manager. Select the radio button next to 'View
devices by connection.' Expand the 'Plug and Play BIOS' listing, and then the 'PCI bus' listing:

For Windows 2000, Click on Start, Select Settings, Select Control Panel, Double-click on system icon, click on Hardware tab, click on Device Manager button, from the View menu, select menu item Devices by connection, click on Standard PC, or Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC, Click on PCI bus. "
You're device manager should indicate the Intel drivers... e.g. Intel 8xxxxx PCI driver, Intel 8xxxxx USB Universal Host Controller, etc.... etc...

Hope this helps...
