Centrios Snapshot Digital Camera

OK, so it's Christmas and my parents got me a Centrios Snapshot Digital Camera. The camera works great, it's a cute little thing, perfect for a first camera. However, I can't get the damn thing to connect to my computer. The drivers included with it don't work, the software has a useless help file and I can't find information on the internet. I know a few other people had some problems with it, and i tried holding the shutter button while plugging it in to make it recognize it...the problem is, it keeps recognizing it as a USB audio device. This does me no good (for obvious reasons) and I still can't get it to work. Anyone have any idea of what I can do?

What camera model is it, by looking at the pictures it looks like a renamed Kodak. You might check the Kodak webpage.
Maybe you can use the easy share software from Kodak.

Hi chickie355

I think you can go to your local RadioShack and get more information on your camara... They might be able to help you with software for win98...

I did a few searches, and it kept comming up as an item that radioshack sells...
here is the link to one that I found...
http://www.radioshack.ca/estore/Prod...log=RadioShack

sorry I couldn't find anything else for you, but I hope this might help...

Merry Christmas ~Smiles~

Found something for you.
Do as ninrule says, maybe it works then.

http://www.abxzone.com/forums/showthread/t-57508.html

Maybe you need 98SE for it.

yeah i tried that and it kept recognizing a USB audio devoce. I managed to get the camera to work as a webcam-type of thing, except it will be displaying what i'm doing and i can take snapshots of myself/other things, but i still can't get my pictures uploaded that i took earlier. I can't set up my camera with PSP 7 because it only lists Kodak cameras under the setup thing, and it's being really weird lol. I can't figure up how to upload the pics using the software that came with it either, even when following the directions.

You will need to find software for it to work with Win98. Win XP has software built in that work with most/all dig cams. If you can't find software that works can you get access to a pc with XP and try it?

Hi everyone:
Regarding the sunplus cameras if you just download webshots you can view your photos and save them to your hard drive.this seems to be the only way to get the pictures off the camera.i have a centrios 1.3 mp digicam and finally figured out how to view the pics.

hope this helps

Smile Centrios digital camera

I had a similar problem trying to access the photos on my Centrios camera. The guys at my local Radio Shack wern't any help and made me feel it was my fault so after a bit of searching I went to the Radio Shack website at
http://www.radioshack.ca/estore/Prod...log=RadioShack
On that page they gave a link to some updated drivers straight from the
Manufacturer which is Nikko in Taiwan, the drivers are here:
http://ni-energy.uanet.net/download/ndc-1.3m.zip

I discouvered all this after I had returned my camera for a refund, I was so mad......

I hope this helps.

Centrios digital camera

I went to the Superstore and bought a Kodac 2 mega pixel camera for
129.99 just yesterday. I'll try it out this afternoon. The centrios one would have been a good deal at 99.99 if it had worked......
