| I would have thought standard USB drivers in XP would take, but if not then I don't know. Did you google for it? Check AOL website and search? |

Do not have a digital camera but Digital Video Cam. With Sony Digital Video Cam, even with USB functionality, in Win XP Professional, you still need to install the USB driver( provided in a CD), before connecting the USB cord to the computer. My impression was that WinXP Professional would have the driver for a Sony camera, at least as it is such a common item, but apparently I was wrong. With older cameras, without USB functionality, one would definitely need drivers. I guess one has to search the Microsoft Website/ Support/ Drivers for digital cameras relevent to the OS used? Not sure about cameras that are older and not 'plug & play'? | |
