| Can't get games to output in surround sound This is for my roommate. He has an Abit IP35-E, which has the Realtek ALC-888 HD audio onboard. He has his speakers, a PC 5.1 setup, plugged into them. He's using the latest Vista drivers. In Vista's sound control panel, the 5.1 test goes correctly (sound comes out of each speaker.) The issue is in games, so far Star Wars: Empire at War and Bioshock both have '5.1' or 'Surround' sound settings, but nothing comes out of the center or rears. What are we doing wrong? |
