| If you don't have a plug like this in your comp, your SOL. You have to buy a pci firewire card or the audigy soundcard comes with them already. ![]()

| If it is an emachine, you probably don't have it as emachines are targeted towards cheap computing and having firewire means that gateway has to pay apple some royalty fees and such. You have to get a dedicated firewire card.

| Skater Boi, from what I could see, your PC doesn't have 1394/firewire. Therefore, if you don't feel like getting one and installing it by yourself, there's my advice. Go to nearest Best Buy, or any store that offers installation of purchased item FREE and get IEEE 1394 PCI Host Card or any other PCI IEEE 1394/Firewire card and let them install it for you. Good luck and don't stress yourself too much |

| Those items should work. Why don't you look around a bit more and find a firewire card like this one that has the cable and editing software included? Also, you might want to check out this website I made for my friends to help with their digital video questions and problems. Some of the stuff is for Dell computers but most of the info works with any PC. |

| You can use a DV tape at least 10-20 times to record something on it. Keep in mind that the more you use it(don't forget the times you run it through the camera for editing), the more of the particles that are on the tape wear off due to the friction between the tape heads and rollers. This residue sticks on your camera parts and can cause problems. Pros only record on the tapes once, personally, I would not record on a DV tape more than five or six times if it was anything important. |

| If your operating system is Windows XP, it has Movie Maker II already installed. You can use that software to capture, edit and make movies from the video you take with your camera. Actually, it is pretty good software, it is easy to use, and it allows you to make movies with different special effects, add music or sound effects, etc. |
