Corsair Labs: HTPC Build Log October 2009

We did an HTPC build back in 2007 that was a lot of fun. We've revisited the subject and used some great new products including our H50 CPU cooler, X64SSD, CX400 PSU, and 2 different memory kits.

Take a look here:2009 HTPC Build Log

Thanks Mike! Off topic have the problems with the X256 ssd been fixed, seems like a lot of negative reviews at Newegg and other resellers? And do you know when the TRIM firmware will be shipping with the X256 drives?

The issue with the X256s has been resolved. As far as TRIM, we are still waiting on Indilinx to clarify what we will be able to offer and when.

FYI, we still don't have a solution. There is a firmware update being used by some other manufacturers that is supposed to address this. But, if you check their forums they are having massive problems with it. So, we are not going to offer anything until we are confident the bugs are out and it won't be creating bricks.
