DVD Burning Software

Is there such a thing as dependable DVD buring software? I've read some reviews of both Nero and Roxio Easy Media Center, but the jury is still out on both. What experiences have you guys had with DVD software and what would you suggest? Thanks.

I've used Nero for a few years, I like it. I've also used RecordNow, I guess it's OK. DVD Authoring software? That's another story. I've tried Sonic and Ulead, haven't really tried Nero Vision Express that came with Nero Ultra 6 yet and I hear TMPGEnc DVD Author is pretty good for the more inexpensive and basic packages.

I used Roxio's EasyCD Creator for a long time upto version 5 until I found Nero 5.5. I decided to try it out and liked it so much since it is so easy to use. I have continued to use Nero ever since and do not plan on switching to any other burning software.

Running the latest version of Nero 6.3 for burning DVDs and CDs. I use DVD Shrink to fit DVDs on a single layer DVD+R media.

I've used Nero for a long time. Got an Aopen 16x DVD DL burner for Christmas and found Nero (6.3.1.17 OEM included) is the only software I have that'll recognize it ?? Nero 5.5 had no idea either. New version works great though.

TmpgEnc DVD Author for editing and Nero Express for burn. For some reason it's twice as fast as the TmpgEnc ??

I'm pretty sure you need Nero 6.0 or better for dual layer burners.

Same here. Nero 6.xx burns double layer DVD's without any problems at all.

if it's a movie backup you can burn with DVD Decryptor (ISO WRITE mode) with very good results.

I have both Nero and Easy CD and use both. They are installed on seprate systems.

I have used both for several years. They each have advantage and disadvantage.

Most hardware mfg bundle Nero the rest use Easy cd, Sonic ,or their own proprietary.
