| Front Microphone Jack not working... Hey guys.. Long time no see. I just recently purchased a new case (Antec 902). I like it, but I am having one issue. My mother board has HD-Audio, and my case has an HD-Audio plug - but my front mic isnt working. On the front of my case, I have a headphone jack and mic jack. I hooked everything up and I cant seem to get my front mic to work. It works while plugged into the motherboard backside so I know its not the mic itself. The weird thing is that the 2nd front jack (the headphone jack) works correctly. It is my understanding that the mic is a part of the HD-Audio cable so if my headphone jack worked my mic should as well. ![]() I have also set my BIOS to show front panel as HD-audio. Just for chit and giggles I switched the HD plug on the mobo to the AC97 plug. Couldn't get anything to work. Motherboard Asus p5k3 Case Antec 902 TIA! ![]()

| Re: Front Microphone Jack not working... I've had issues with front panel mics myself. What OS? In XP, open the Volume Properties window (dbl-click the little speaker in the systray), click advanced under the microphone section and there should be a check box to indicate that you're using a front panel mic. Don't know if this will actually help or not. Also make sure the mic isn't muted. |

| Re: Front Microphone Jack not working... Thanks - Yes, O/S is XP. (Waiting on Windows 7 to upgrade, I have MSDN). I've checked all of that in the sound properties to no avail. At this point I think it may be an issue with the case. I created a trouble ticket with Antec on Thursday, but have yet to get a response back from tech support.

| Re: Front Microphone Jack not working... Nope, been working since May of last year. Function tester, so I try to break stuff for a living. GSM nodes, mostly.
