How big is your MP3 collection? "Most" of my MP3 collection is recorded from my own CDs (although I'd be lying if I said I didn't snarf them from WinMX now and again). Anyway, I'm up to about 30Gig and almost completed copying all my CDs. By the time I'm done, I'l probably have about 40-45Gig worth. How about you? I'm sure there are some of you that have even more than that? Anyone have over a terabyte of MP3 files?

About 5GB. I do have a CD Player, that plays MP3 from a directory on a CD. About 5 of those, full (400-600MB each) of MP3 files. I still keep a backup copy on my extra 20GB drive, but they are the first to go, if I need the space.

I never really measured... Somewhere in the 8-10 GB range. I have some pre-napster, napster, & post-napster. My dad has several DVD's of them, plus a lot of his 80GB drive. His are pretty much exclusively from newsgroups.

Just passed the 1000 mp3`s a week or so ago. Music from the 70s-now.. i like all kinds of music, but rock music`s my favorite. Yeah.. Napster was great back in the `old days`.. but now there`s Kazaa and Rapigator for good p2p mp3 searching.

Check out Kazaa Lite for a Kazaa client without the spyware, and also search around and you'll find ways to get rid of the IE popup windows too. Kazaa Lite is a nice little proggie, seems just as good as Napster was. Very large network. Also supports downloading a file from multiple users at once, which I don't think Napster ever did. I often completely max out my 2Mb/s downstream bandwidth (roadrunner cable).
