Jack configuration for 5.1 on P4S533-E

On my P4S533-E with the C-Media cmi8738/C3DX on board sound, I am wondering how one goes about plugging in the speakers if I get a 5.1 set. Right now I just have the 2 run of the mill stereo desktop speakers.
I looked at the manual and it tells you the MIC and Line IN jacks can be configured somehow, and to see chapter 5 about Software setup, but nothing in there either.
What jacks do you use for what to use 5.1? Is there any thing I missed ?

Sorted it. For one reason or another I won't get into I didn't have the "C-Media Mixer" installed, but had the C-Media Wave Device in the Sounds and Audio Devices in Control Panel only and thats all I thought I needed. As soon as I downloaded the mixer and hit Advance button and choose 5.1, I was in business. Theres a handy diagram right in there too.

I forgot to add that I got some Logitech Z640 this week. On the C-Media onboard soundcard they are brilliant. I don't know how much better an audigy 2 card would sound. I don't game, just mp3 and music CD (rock).
