| Re: Mpeg2 720p plays fine on my render workstation but not on the another ?? Exclusive mpeg2? I'm not that familiar with codecs. But I would recommend trying the latest version of ffdshow. It's a codec package that is very widely used and suports mpeg2. I've also read good things about CoreAVC, perhaps even better than ffdshow. But it's not free, though there is a trial version.

My laptop which has just 512mb ram with a 5400rpm disk and nothing but intel onboard integrated graphics plays mpeg2 hd @ 20mbps. Though with an occasional drop of 1 or 2 frames her and there.  . Its the same file and video. I just rendered a 20mbps version to see if it will run on my laptop, which it does. And my presentation system cannot. Its got a curse on it i guess. LOL. |
