| my 2001FP LCD (dell model) plays video files/DVD's distorted at full screen... Hello, I have a Dell UltraSharp 2001FP 20.1-inch Flat Panel LCD monitor, and i just tested out a DVD using Cyberlink PowerDVD software. It looks great, but once I make it full screen, the video gets very distorted. So I took an old avi file I have and played it in windows media player v10, when I make it full screen, the same thing happens. Is there something I need to do to make full screen video work on this monitor, or is this a downfall of this monitor no one mentioned? Thanks!

| It's odd, I had a Dell 15" LCD that, once I sold it to a friend, did the same thing - once a video files was full screened, the image would look 'sawtoothed', like every 3rd line or so was out of synch. It's hooked up over DVI as well. We couldn't really figure anything out to fix it; just fooling with Media Player Classic's rendering engine we eventually got it to work, but it was a poor fix at best. I'll have to ask him if the behavior is till happening. |

| Voltron, glad you've found the solution. I just saw your post and was surprised to hear of the problem. I've been running my 2001FP for the last six month and I watch loads of video full screen no problems using my Radeon 9800 Pro. Glad you've got it fixed - I think the 2001FP is a great monitor to watch TV/movies on. Scottie P |
