| AC97 is a standard. Soundmax is the name of Analog Devices' codec that conforms to the AC97 standard. To get them installed on the P4PE, you will have to first copy the drivers from the Asus CD to a temp folder. Then extract the new drivers into that temp folder overwriting any files. Once installed you will see that the file version for smwdm.sys is 3850 and labelled as Pre-Release. |
