| Sound Blaster Audigy Driver HELP !!! Hi guy. 3 day ago I needed to format so no real problem. I reinstalled everything and it was working. then, I tryed a game, and the game froze with a weird sound.. so I remember that I need to install New driver for my Audigy (those on CD are buggy and outdated) Here my problem start. I tryed to install them, but as soon as I start the patch, I have a message: "Could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy Audio Card On Your System" Be sure your device is installed and working (or something like that) But the Drivers that came on the CD work, I have audio, I only have a problem with game. I tryed to reformat 3 time. First I just retryed, and got the same problem. then after trying to install it manually (very bad Idea) Windows crash and need to reformat Second, I tryed to install Direct X 9.0b then Audigy Driver. CD driver didn't want to install unless I install Video Driver. So did I.. Installed ok but got the same problem again. Update dont want to install at all. Last time I tryed the Audigy 2 Driver Trick.. I downloaded the 119mb Driver "cd", patched it then started Start in CDRun folder.. but Guess what, I have the same error, that it could not find any Sound Blaster Audio Card (it dont say Audigy here) So Right now My Audigy is on my desk. I really dont know What to do. this card was working before with driver update, but now, after 4 format, I can'T figure to install it correctly with Pacth oh, and Creative support us totally useless (exacly like Asus was on my P4S8X) I did a search here, some had the same problem but noone post solution please help ! I'm on Windows 2000 French SP4 (with ou without sp4 dont change anything) edit: no Antivirus or any other sftware are installed on the computer..

I tried everything I could and was never able to get it working, so I took it out and went back to onboard sound and it worked fine. I never figured it out other than somehow the Audigy card must have got fried somehow. I hope you don't have the same problem. | |

| thanks for reply I have no other PCI card in my system. sure onboard audio work, but I have a 100$ Audigy crap and I want to use it. the card was working perfectly before I format.. IF I only install CD Driver, it work ok, beside for game so I dont think the card is fried. this is just bad update driver.. I always had problem with creative car.. with my live!, my live! 5.1 and now my audigy.. guess what, my next audio card will not be a sound blaster

| I tryed the card on my second PC (HP Kayak DUAL P3 Xeon 550 on English Windows 2000 Server (evaluation)) and I have the exact same problem.... Really bad drivers or fried card ? I really think the driver just s*ck but I dont understand why they were working before. Will try installing WinXP to see if it work (even if I hate xp)

| I will update with the solution I found. Creative Lab Drivers update completly s*ck. so I used those driver: http://kxproject.lugosoft.com so far everything work perfect and game didn't freeze anymore. Those aren't driver made by Creative, so it's a huge adventage here
