| want to get a dell laptop.. i have been looking through the dell site and have decided i might want to go with the XPS M1330. it looks sleek (which i love) and seems a decent price. now i have upgraded a lot from the base model at $1300 (mine is about $2100). i am curious to know what you guys have to say about this laptop and if you know of better ones out there that i might not have checked out. i know there are better ones out there, but for the money.. |

| i want something compact with some kick.. nothing to spectacular (thats what my desktop is for), just enough to play most games at decent quality with the ease to carry it around with me (traveling). |

| I looked at quite a few Dells before settling on my HP. IMO even the Dells with an upgraded display could not compete with the display on the HP's. Probably best thing to do is go to Best Buy, or similar retailer and look at different laptops even if you don't intend to buy one there. I looked at several stores and bought mine online directly from HP. I have never been sorry. I have had it about a year now and no problems to speak of. The dv9000t is far from compact though lol. It's a beast, but I like the 17" screen and actual num keys.

| Dell does make some damn nice laptops but they dont have the nice screens like the HP, Toshiba, etc. You just need to write down the options you want and then go to bestbuy or whatever find ones you like, get the model number and do some research. |

| Naw I use my desktop mainly when I am home (below specs). Sometimes I use them both at once. I just like to have the big display even on the go. It's sweet for watching movies in a motel room for example. Not like I want to pay for their crappy selection. Also the case is almost like a small suitcase. I can usually fit a couple changes of clothes in with it and then that's all I need to carry
