Is Access the right tool?

I use checklists to collect data while I am auditing for compliance to specific quality systems. The data is then used to create a report for the client to use to make corrections (if needed) to their system.

It has been suggested to me to use a database program such as Access to make my checklist with and then based on the answers a query could be run and a report created.

I don't have a lot of experience with Access so I am having are hard time visuallizing this could be done.

Can it? Or do I need to consider a tailored program for my application?

Access is an excellent relational data base program.

You would flip if you knew all the programs out there in the world that are based on Access.

Do a demo or tutorial with Access to see how it works. Excel can be set up as a database but it is not as powerful as Access and cannot be set up with easy ways to put the data in, store the data, query the data, and report the results of the query.
