Acronis True Image Did Not Find Any Disk Drives

I'm using ATI 10.0 (Home) and this is the first time I've tried it out on this system. When I create the boot media, and boot True Image from it and select the recovery option it comes up with an error stating that it cant find any disk drives.

I imagine this is because all my drives are SATA, but does anyone know what the solution is?

The Acronis home page is down right now...

Re: Acronis True Image Did Not Find Any Disk Drives

I have ATI 11 home and I don't have any problems with SATA drives. I have restored several systems.

I did find this. Solved: Acronis True Image SATA Drive Support - Tech Support Guy Forums

You will have to register on the Acronis site before you can update your software.

You might want to consider buying Acronis 2009 which has the capability to take not only full backups but now incremental backup to external usb disk drives. 2009 has additional new capabilities check it out.

Thanks buddy! that did the trick! Who would have thought that the "safe mode" option had the greater functionality (ie SATA drivers)?
I dont know how you found that but many thanks for posting ! saved me buying a new version of ATI

I'll do some experimentation but I thought I could already backup to USB/flash drives... although I usually do a differential to a separate hard disk and then copy the file to a USB external drive...

Speaking of which... I usually do differentials as I consider them somehow safer than a bunch of incrementals... because if just one of those goes bad then the whole chain is lost IMO... but I dont know what other people think about that
