XP Home doesn't have the full functionality that XP Pro has. IIRC, gpedit won't work on XP Home (no real need for policy management in a product that is meant to be used only in a home environment).

BTW, there is a download link next to the FAQ on that page - I'm sure that this is likely to be trailware. Check out the FAQ.

XJ is right, plainman007. I guess with what you're doing I figured you'd be using XP Pro. Too frequently I ***-u-me (get the point) too much...

Chasm > Its my fualt. I didnt specify which OS when i replied to you. I will be woring however on an XP Pro based system. My laptop didnt have PRO and i just gave it a shot and thought i was doing something wrong. Now that gpedit opens on that system its great, but i dont understand anything within gpedit. Can you tell me what i should change within there for me to remove the min, max and close buttons on any application that i run.
