GIF problems on harddrive

I am able to see gif animations well on the internet but when I download them, I dont see the animation after downloading. I tried to search but no avail, any help?

what program is opening when you click on a .gif file? You may want to associate it to IE.

right click a .gif, open with, choose program, select IE and then check the little box to associate it.

Ahhh, that was the problem. It was associating it with Microsoft Picture Manager instead. Now I'm fine....THANKS BOFINN
