| How To Make Own's Video CD Photo. Enjoy your family photo album. Nice tips here to make your own VCD Photo. If you have a scanner or digital camera, it's always an excitement to make VCD Photo that can be displayed on regular VCD Player using your regular TV. You can share this memorabilia history with your family or friends during weekend/vacation gathering. What you need: 1. CDRW 2. Blank CDR media 3. CDRW softwareslike Nero, WinOnCD, or Adaptec EZ CD Creator This is an example how to make one using NERO 5.5.2.4. The steps are: 1. Take some photos from scanner or digital camera. The simplest format would be JPG. ther's no need to define pixel depth from your phot files as the software can do resize by its own. Btw, to display full pictures format on the screen, you can try 704 x 576 for PAL system (mostly in Europe & Asia) and 704 x 480 for NTSC (mostly in North America). You should know what system is being used in your country. But don't worry about the size because Nero will re-adjust the size that it will burn. Those format size above just serves as a benchmark ratio for full screen display. 2. On your Nero, select VCD format ![]() Select for VCD and NOT the Super VCD. Add CD-i for player compatible with CD-i format. Important: Turn off / UNCHECK "Create Standard Compliant CD" because creating VCD Photo is a Non Standard format. Select video system that is being used in your country. PAL for most European & Asian countries, and NTSC for most countries in North America. 3. Then it's time to add in / convert the photo files (JPG) to VCD format. You can just drag those JPG files from browser that is located on the right of Nero softwares, and drop them to the Video CD tracks. It is better Not to exceed more than 100 files, because the max recommended limit for standard photo album for VCD is not more than 99 files. See it here: ![]() 4. The next step is to control the display times that it takes to show on TV. Photo VCD has 2 options in pause time: A) To show pictures with "Unlimited Pause Time". The pause time depends on when the player button is clicked. B) To show pictures "On Timer" in seconds. Supposedly, you want to enjoy & display the picture for longer period of time, then you would choose the A) method. if you want to show the picture with specific pause times (example 6 second), then you would choose the B) method and add the 6 seconds to display. To choose those 2 methods in combination, you can activate it with the right click of the mouse button on the files you want to choose and choose Properties. You can activate several files with several different pause time or choose the same pause time for displaying all pictures with this method. ![]() 5. The next step is to write those VCD files to VCD. You can do change names, color, fonts, and titles, before writing/burning is done. Below are example on how you change the title to be shown by VCD player on your monitor or regular TV. you can also create thumbnail on the title or menu on player, by choosing LAYOUT. Experiment yourself. ![]() Here are an example on how it would be displayed on your monitor or regular TV, with different setting for the color of each names/titles. Click "Write" button and Use "Track At Once" to burn on CDR media. ![]() NOTES: Only VCD Players with format Ver 2.0 and above can display those pictures that you have made using VCD Photo. Most recent modern VCD Player are of Version 2.0 format. Enjoy your Photo Album

| good to know. it brings to mind one advantage of winme, it simpliflies the whole process of media management. i am able to just cut & paste or save photos in what ever format i want and the capability is embedded in winme compared to when i was using win98. heck, my scanner is setup like a sorage/input device and as an icon under "my computer". pretty sweet and very simple.
