My system hangs on multiple tabs in Firefox

My system ( CPU 2.40 GHz & 512 MB of RAM ) hangs as I open more than 50 tabs in Mozilla Firefox. I want to open approx 500 tabs at a time in Firefox browser, should, I increase its memory or CPU or both or any other idea to improve the PC performance?

Both would likely help, though I'd say more memory for sure. Though if you're running a 32-bit OS you're limited to 4 Gb of memory.

Why in the world would you need to open 500 tabs? Forgive me, but that sounds like you're running an automated program (spambot?) that uses the internet for something.

spam or not that's a lot of freakin tabs...is it even possible to have that many open at 1 time?...might need 8GB of RAM and at least a quad core to handle it

Zaibatt -- Well, it seems that you are continuing to spam many forums with this question, perhaps from your 50 open Firefox tabs, and in some of those cases you are including spam links in your signature. No doubt you tried to do that here, but our system prevents that. Appropriate action has been taken, as you can see under your screen-name.
