| Re: Need New Back-up Software!!!!! I made the Ghost 2003 Boot CD using Nero 6 Ultra (actually, Nero Express). In Nero Express, just select Data -> Bootable Data Disc. You will have to put in your Ghost 2003 bootable floppy in your FD when prompted and Nero Express will copy the three files (command.com, io.sys and msdos.sys) from the floppy to the CD boot sector to make the CD bootable. When you finish running Ghost from the boot CD, you are back at A:\Ghost>, so the CD acts just like a floppy to your PC. Just include all the other files on the floppy in your burn (the Ghost folder, the autoexec.bat, config.sys, mouse.com, and mouse.ini). Actually, you may not have a mouse.com or mouse.ini file on your Ghost 2003 Boot Floppy, as I may have added them myself so I wouldn't have to use the arrow keys in Ghost.

I use my Ghost 2003 floppy to back up 250 and 500 gig drives all the time. It should work for you. Make a new one on a fresh floppy. Sounds like a bad file or floppy disk. Some day I will get another imaging program because, although Ghost does a lot and successfully backs up and restores where others have failed in tests performed by leading computer magazines, unfortuneately Ghost does not do RAID backups. (unless you get the enterpise version) ![]()

I'm going to have to get around to do that. Due to the limited space on a floppy, I can either put network drivers or USB drivers on the floppy but not both. So I swap drivers as I need them on the floppy disk. With a bootable CD, one can put all needed drivers on the bootable CD. ![]()

| Re: Need New Back-up Software!!!!! True, space wouldn't be an issue with a bootable CD. BTW, I used Ghost 2003 to back up my RAID 0 array (2x75GB Raptors) in my previous system with no issues.

| Re: Need New Back-up Software!!!!! You can make an Acronis boot disk to recover data. I assume that would also work for creating backups.
