| Re: Nero 8 is out Quote: Fast----simple and easy----no bloat. I used my license from Nero7 Ultimate----works great. Nero 7 Ultimate was the most bloated piece of junk imaginable...... I hated it.... Nero 7 Lite is just a good burner---simple....works with Vista just fine.....

| Re: Nero 8 is out Been using Nero since version 3 or 4 ... man time flies I use Nero 6.6 now for most of my needs in XP. I also use Plextools XL Pro to run scans on disks. My work system has Nero 7 but I rarely use it. In Linux I use K3b and Nero linux ...

| Re: Nero 8 is out I notice there's a new service running, nmindexstoresvr.exe eating 40MB of ram... after a Google search i found that this service is part of Nero Scout. Another reason to go back to Nero 6.6

| Re: Nero 8 is out That's similar to one of the reasons why I switched from EZ Media Creator to Ashampoo. It's light, fast and doesn't make my scalp itch.

| Re: Nero 8 is out You can disable Nero scout both during and after instalation. Nero is a bit bloated, but I like the ease of use for transcoding avi's and "showtime" where kind of a crappy player at least has lots of codecs installed with it. Not that it shares them with any other media apps.

| Re: Nero 8 is out Huh I guess I just never noticed the process. I haven't installed it yet since my recent format. I really should make a drive image this time.
