| Rollback Rx-Fragmentation Problem I just installed the restore utility Rollback RX. I prefer the utility over System Restore. However, I seem to have a problem. I made sure, as they recommend, to defrag my disk before installing it. However, after I installed it, and did another defrag, it showed 822(!) fragments for this particular rollback rx snapshot file. This I could not understand. Then I tried using the built in defrag tool to try and fix this, to no avail. Then I used a couple external defraggers, still 822 fragments. I doubt this is 'normal' for this utility to have 822 fragments. Please enlighten me on this, and if you know how, to tell me how to fix it. Thanks. |

| Re: Rollback Rx-Fragmentation Problem Find a copy of SysInternals "contig" (and the PowerDefragmenter front end if you're so inclined) and de-fragment that specific file alone. Windows Defrag isn't the most optimized thing there is. |
