LOL Thanks for the help guys. I have not had any more luck finding anything other than FreePOPS and it does not look like it will work. Anyone ever used this?

Hmm...I've played around with all the HTML sending-receiving settings to no avail.

I've received an HTML message with inline photos and I want to forward it, but when I try I get a plain text equivalent without any photos.

Any idea how to forward HTML messages in TB 1.0.2?

Right click on the email account you are sending from. Properties then see the screenie.

Ever curious about what email client your senders use? Well, this almost totally unnecessary but fun extension will tell you. ~100 email programs are identified with an icon (and by name in a mouse pop-over) on the right side of the header in Thunderbird.

Guys,

I am going to be wiping my system and reinstalling XP. Is there a way I can save my Thunderbird setup, for example: current emails, saved emails, contacts, settings with POP usernames and passwords, etc...

i guess what I am looking for is an export function of some kind, or do i just copy a folder somewhere

Would I install Thunderbird or firefox first with its default profile and then copy over my backed-up profile
or
copy the profile to the new location and then install thunderbird/firefox?

I use Mozbackup to backup both Firefox and Thunderbird, it's free and works well

I think after install you just copy over the old folder. From the link:

I am using T'Bird 1.2... Works well. Label Junk as Junk. But it always appears in my inbox. How do I get it to just dump it automatically, if possible. Thanks.

It doesn't appear to be able to delete junk automatically, but in Tools - Junk Mail Controls make sure the "Move incoming messages determined to be junk mail to "Junk" folder on (Local Folders)" is checked.

Below it select "Automatically delete junk messages older than (1) days from this folder".

This is with Thunderbird 1.0.7.
