Can the 'Favorites' folder be run from a data drive or partition ?

Is it possible to run your webpage favorites folder from D: or the data partition instead of within C:Windows\Documents and Settings.

This would help me be more organised when i take backups. Id like data to be exclusively on 1 drive/partition. Ive successfully moved the 'My Documents' folder onto my D: drive. But the favorites seem to only run from within C:Windows\Documents and Settings.

Thank You.

Of course, but you will need something like Powertoys for Windows XP - TweakUI.

TweakUI has a section called "special folders" - here you can alter where certain folder reside. But warning! You could muck-up your install, so take care when doing this.

There is a way, at least in xp, to move the entire documents and settings folder to another drive with an automated install script. I have never done it.

I do have my "My documents" folder moved to another (raid 1) drive with tweakui. You just need to copy the desired "special folder" first, then us the redirect.

Yes i have and use Tweak UI regularly.
I just didnt quite get the right click and drag folder point properly.
So before taking a chance i wanted to ask here and see if there was a simpler option.
